Founded in 2004, this event is organised by volunteers from the Leamington Round Table, and supported by Spa Striders and other local groups such as 41 Club. Now attracting around 2,500 runners each year, over £500,000 has been raised to date.
Running costs are partially supported by our title sponsor, Wright Hassall – a leading local law firm. Proceeds are used to help local good causes such as the homeless, community youth groups and school projects.
1. RACE START TIME, DATE, AND LOCATION
The event takes place at 10am, Sunday, 12th April 2026, starting at Newbold Terrace East in Leamington Spa and finishing at Mill Gardens, next to Jephson Gardens. The race is supported by a professional race timing company (including chip timing). Your race number and timing chip will be posted to you 2 weeks before the event, along with an Event Booklet if you sign up by 28th March 2025. Anybody who signs up after 28th March will need to collect thier racepack on the morning of the race. Please come to registration tent along the start from 8am to collect your timing chip and race number.
2. THE EVENT
This 10km multi-terrain course takes you through some of the best parks and gardens Royal Leamington Spa has to offer.
Please arrive in good time for the 10.00 am start. We advise arriving between 9.00 am and 9.30 am.
The race starts at Newbold Terrace East and heads in an anti-clockwise direction around Newbold Comyn (where the golf course used to be), before heading back into Royal Leamington Spa town centre, taking in Victoria Park and Jephson Gardens. The finish area is at Mill Gardens, where you will be greeted by large crowds of spectators.
The course is a combination of paved surfaces and bridleways. All the road sections of the course are closed to traffic, making this both a safe and quick course to get around.
There will be post race goddies, with a medal for all runners. You must wear your timing chip to record your time – click here for chip fitting instructions. There is no need to register again on the day.

19. RUNNING WITH BUGGY
The use of a child buggy, or the pushing of a child in a buggy or similar is not permitted in any UKA licensed road race, other than those races specifically designated as 'fun runs’. As our event is not designated as a fun run( i.e park run), we're unfortunately not permitted to allow buggies under the current UKA licensing rules. While we understand that some participants may have run with buggies in previous years, we're committed to following the current guidance to ensure the race remains properly insured, licensed, and safe for all involved.
